Nuclear Medicine is a subspecialty of radiology the focuses on the use of radioactive materials for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions.  PET-CT is a specialized area of diagnostic imaging combining both nuclear medicine and computed tomography primarily for the diagnosis and staging of a variety of cancers.
